Here is the above logo in higher resolution:- [link]
The LOGO, is balanced, symmetrical, angular, bold and definitely defines dA in an emblematic manner. And even after reducing the logo to a very smaller resolution, no features is lost. Also, it's similarity to the previous logo makes it easily acceptable.
The TYPOGRAPHY, was started from a pre-existing font, which was altered modified, cut, corners rounded, so that it can not be just typed by anyone. And it goes well with the dA's v6 sleek verion.
Your gallery speaks of professionalism, but I think you're far superior as an illustrator than a logo designer. This logo is indeed bold, quite symmetrical, quite balanced and indeed angular, but I wonder why boldness and symmetry is a good thing by definition. I think this logo definitely doesn't suit deviantart. It reminds me of a sport brand like Fila. Also, when scaled down the hairlines become so thin that the logo almost becomes a blur; it definitely doesn't work well at a small size. The presentation is very ugly as well. I would avoid the use of Bevel & Emboss.
